Mikini 30 Count Linen - Ivory - Avlea Folk Embroidery

This 100 percent mercerized cotton, 30 count fabric (15 sts to the inch over two threads) is a finer version of the traditional groundcloth. It has a very soft hand, and is perfect for crisp, intricate stitch definition as well as drawn thread work.

Ivory--a lovely soft ivory, identical in color to the Mikini 26ct ivory

What is mercerization?

Mercerization is a textile finishing treatment for cotton which improves dye uptake, reduces shrinkage, and gives the fabric a silk-like sheen. If you like to hand dye your fabric, it's great for that, too!
